Packaging speed

Unit: Packages per minute (or bags per hour for large-sized packaging)

Range: Low-speed machine (< 60 packs/min), medium-speed machine (60 - 120 packs/min), high-speed machine (> 120 packs/min, some vertical machines can reach over 300 packs/min)

Influencing factors: particle flowability, bag size, metering method (weighing type is usually slower than volumetric type), degree of equipment automation (such as whether it is equipped with automatic bag loading and detection functions).

Packaging Specifications (Bag Type and Size)

Vertical machine: Generally suitable for small-sized bags, such as width 50-200mm, length 80-300mm (adjustable according to the specifications of the roll film).

Bag-in-machine: Supports pre-made bags, with common widths ranging from 100 to 300mm and lengths from 150 to 400mm (customizable for larger sizes, such as heavy bags over 5kg).

The pillow-type machine is suitable for longer tubular bags, with a length of 100-500mm and a width of 50-200mm (depending on the size of the material after forming).

Measurement range

Unit: gram (g) or kilogram (kg)

Small dosage: such as 5g - 500g (applicable to seasonings, small snacks, etc.).

Medium dosage: 500g - 5kg (suitable for coarse grains, pet food, etc.)

Large dosage: 5kg - 25kg (heavy bag packaging machine, such as for fertilizers, feeds, etc.)

The measurement range is directly related to the equipment structure (such as screw diameter, metering hopper volume). Using it beyond the range will lead to a decrease in accuracy.

Measurement accuracy

It is usually expressed as an error range: ±0.5% to ±2% (depending on the material properties and equipment grade).

Weighing metering: Higher precision (such as ±0.5% to ±1%), suitable for scenarios with high precision requirements such as pharmaceuticals and high-end foods.

Volumetric measurement: Slightly lower accuracy (e.g., ±1% to ±2%), suitable for granular materials with good fluidity and lower cost (such as rice and feed).

Sealing accuracy

Heat sealing temperature control: ±1~3℃ (temperature stability affects the strength and appearance of the seal).

Sealing strength: Usually ≥ 3N/15mm (verified by tensile test to ensure no leakage and durability during transportation).

Seal flatness: No wrinkles, no scorched edges (affecting the appearance and sealing performance of the package).

III. Material Adaptability Parameters

Applicable particle characteristics

Particle size: Generally 0.1mm to 10mm (too large may cause material blockage, too small may lead to material leakage, and a screen or special discharge structure is required for matching).

Bulk density: Affects the selection of metering methods (low density and fluffy particles are suitable for volumetric type, while high density and good flowability are suitable for weighing type).

Humidity: Excessive moisture content (e.g., > 10%) can cause clumping. Equipment should be equipped with anti-sticking discharge devices (e.g., stainless steel inner walls, vibrating discharge).

Compatibility of packaging materials

Applicable film materials: composite films (such as PET/PE, OPP/PE), aluminum foil films, kraft paper composite films, etc. (Heat-sealable types require matching equipment sealing temperature; cold-sealable types require special devices.)

Film width / thickness: Generally supports 50-300mm wide, 0.05-0.15mm thick (films that are too thick require higher sealing pressure and temperature).

IV. Equipment Operating Parameters

Power Supply and Energy Consumption

Power supply: Conventional 380V/220V (three-phase / single-phase, depending on motor power), some small machines can use 220V single-phase power.

Power: 500W to 5kW (Higher power for high-speed machines or equipment with heating function).

Air source requirements (for pneumatic equipment)

Bag-in and heavy bag packaging machines usually require an external air source, with an air pressure range of 0.4 to 0.6 MPa and an air flow rate of 0.1 to 0.3 m³/min (to ensure the stable operation of pneumatic components such as bag clamping and sealing).

Shape and Weight

Vertical machine: Small floor space (about 0.5 to 2 square meters), weight 300 to 800 kilograms.

Bag-in machine: complex structure, floor space 1 to 3 square meters, weight 800 to 2000 kilograms.

Heavy-duty bag packaging machine: Large equipment, occupying an area of 3 to 10 square meters, weighing 2,000 to 5,000 kilograms.

When selecting a model, it is necessary to match the parameters based on actual needs. For example, when packaging small-dose condiments, emphasis should be placed on high speed, high precision (weighing type), and small bag sizes; when packaging large bags of feed, attention should be paid to a wide measurement range, high load capacity, and strong sealing. At the same time, the flowability, viscosity and other characteristics of the particles will also affect the actual performance of the parameters.
